Tri-State was one of the first utilities in the region to support energy efficiency technologies. Since 1986, we’ve helped our members encourage and reward energy-efficient purchases and practices. Our efforts today, which include piloting new efficiency technologies, will make a big difference in the years to come.
The energy efficiency programs we offer with our members provide consumers cash back when they install and use more efficient appliances, pumps, lighting, heating and cooling systems, and other products. We share information and experiences, and together participate in technology demonstrations. Our programs are flexible and are designed to meet the unique needs of both rural and suburban consumers, including homes, farms, ranches and businesses.
Tri-State is also making our facilities more energy efficient, which delivers value to our members by lowering costs. We pursue efficiency improvements in our power plants and transmission system, which can reduce the amount of fuel we use. At our headquarters and across our operations and maintenance facilities, we invest in efficient lighting and building systems.
Consumers can contact their local electric co-op or public power district to learn more about the programs available in their communities.
