Colorado Rule 3627 stakeholder outreach and FERC order 890 stakeholder meeting
Meeting Date and Time: November 20, 2015; 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time
Location: Tri-State Headquarters, 1100 W. 116th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado 80234
Objectives: This will be Tri-State’s final Transmission Planning Stakeholder Outreach meeting for 2015. Previous meetings, including those associated with the Colorado Coordinated Planning Group, discussed new and updated information relevant to Tri-State’s ongoing transmission planning activities.
This meeting will not be introducing new information, as long-term plans typically do not change within a few months. This meeting will provide an opportunity for continued participation in the planning process. Stakeholders will be able to provide input in connection with Tri-State's long range transmission plans. Such input and relevant alternatives will be considered and included in the appropriate biennial transmission plans submitted to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission pursuant to Commission Rule 3627, as developed in partnership with the Colorado Coordinated Planning Group. Alternatives proposed at this meeting may be referenced in the 2016 filing and will be incorporated, as appropriate, in the 2016/2017 study cycle.
As discussed in connection with Tri-State’s previous stakeholder communications related to the 2012 and 2014 Ten Year Plans, information concerning Tri-State’s transmission planning process is available at www.tristate.coop/transmission-planning. Additional information will be posted on Tri-State’s transmission planning website to keep stakeholders informed as the planning process continues. Tri-State’s transmission planning website also provides an opportunity for stakeholders to comment on Tri-State’s identified transmission projects, submit questions, and/or provide information concerning alternative solutions you would like Tri-State to consider as part of the planning process. As described in Colorado PUC Rule 3627, Tri-State will evaluate alternative solutions identified by stakeholders and will include this information in its filings.
