Tri-State addresses EPA proposed action on Colorado State Implementation Plan
“Tri-State appreciates the EPA’s and Administration’s focus on grid reliability and rising energy demand in the West. Reliability and affordability remain our members’ top priorities," said Duane Highley, Tri-State CEO. "We are reviewing the EPA’s disapproval of plant closure dates included in Colorado’s State Implementation Plan and its implications for our state-regulated resource planning."
"Regardless of market conditions and regulatory landscape, we are committed to meet our members’ needs—now and into the future—in the most reliable, affordable and responsible way possible, and we are glad that the EPA shares these objectives while appropriately balancing our need to protect our natural environment,” said Highley.
