Chief Financial Officer to depart Tri-State

  • Power supply cooperative well positioned to support capital development strategy.

  • Tri-State to begin search for new CFO.

(June 3, 2025, Westminster, Colo.)  Todd Telesz, Tri-State’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has resigned from Tri-State, effective June 13, 2025. As Telesz supports the transition in leadership, Tri-State will initiate a search for a new CFO.

During his tenure at Tri-State, Telesz implemented the wholesale cooperative power supplier’s financial strategy and leaves Tri-State in good financial standing.

In 2024, Tri-State's financial performance included meeting all financial goals, returning patronage capital to its membership, reducing debt and strengthening the cooperative’s balance sheet.

“We thank Todd for his service to our membership and wish him the best,” said Tri-State Chief Executive Officer Duane Highley. “Todd leaves Tri-State in a strong financial position and with a capable team well positioned to support our capital investment strategy.”

Telesz has accepted a position as the Chief Financial Officer for a vertically integrated independent power producer headquartered in Colorado.
